Since 2022 the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has kicked off its season each year with an event at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna, Fla, typically taking place the second weekend of February.

Could the 2025 season for the Whelen Modified Tour be starting earlier at a different site?

  1. Just Saying says

That’s a good idea a modified and a cup race let’s make it
300 lap mods/1000 lap cup race no freaking stage crap

  2. Oh hell no. Please don’t give NASCAR any ideas.

  3. Tom McElligott says

    That would be great!

  4. Sharpie Fan says

Weather is iffy at that time of year in North Carolina.

  5. chevelledude says

Go Show Them Southern Boys What Real Modifieds Are Like. Go Kick The Myers Boys Butts and Brown’s In Their Own House!!! There Is A Reason Why They Have A Southern Modified Division (BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT BEAT US YANKEES) Richie ,Geoff, Maynard ,Bugsy , Freddie , Ronnie , Charlie. They Couldn’t Beat Them Then Or Now. Be Interesting To See If It Happens Will They So Called Modified Legends Even Enter The Race Having Home Track Advantage.

  6. Agree with Chevelle dude 100%! Why do a tour race on bumper car track ? Cup cars are to big to race there ! To me absolutely ridiculous crap from NASCAR , AGAIN!

  7. This is stupid. I went to Islip Speedway when the Grand National cars (precursor to NASCAR) were running a demo race. Islip was a 0.2 mile track. Petty and all the big names were there, along with all the HUGE cars… Chargers/Super Bees, Torinos, etc. When all the cars were on the track, there was only a little bit of open track space. It was absurd. It was like watching a train where the locomotive almost touched the caboose.

So did the LA Coliseum work out and attract more fans?
