  1. 30 cars would cement 2024 as the worst car count for tri track in the last decade.

  2. it’s an expensive sport. It’s been a long year for tour type modified racing. At the beginning of the season there wasn’t many weeks in which there wasn’t a tour type mod race scheduled between tri track whelen MRS and opens. I would argue that the quality of the field is really good and it should be a great show. A lot of the have nots have stopped showing up for tri track shows with the qualifying procedure change. When it was a draw some of the less competitive teams would show up hoping for a good draw to put them up front of a heat where they might be able to sneak into a good starting spot for the feature. Now that they use timed practice there is little chance of getting a good starting spot for some of the less competitive racers. They know it and don’t show up like they used to. I would be really surprised given the Tri track format and amount of tour type mod events if we get back to the 40 plus car count on a regular basis. Tri track does have some of the deepest fields there is probably around 12 cars that you can argue could win this weekend. Not sure you can make the same argument about other tour type modified races.

Don’t forget you have ACT 100 lapper and an open street stock race. I went to the ACT race at Seekonk earlier this year and it was one of the best shows I went to. They had a consi and had to send a few cars home as DNQ. The street stocks routinely steal the show during weekly competition at Seekonk. You get their regular field plus some invaders…..it could be real good. I think you will see full fields in all divisions. Last race of the season locally. Get out to the track.

  3. seekonk fan says

34 ACT cars entered, 30 Mods, for a November race ? 10,000 /5,000 to win, pretty good imo.

  4. Nothing wrong with 30 mods, I’m not sure how the points work in regards to earning the 25 bonus points Do you have to start all 8 races or just show up every show . I’m thinking the 60 car has the title wrapped up and the battle is for second.
