The now four-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion ran with the leaders for most of the day during the Sci-Apps 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Bonsignore led three laps of the event and ran second for much of the race. He was running sixth on a lap 182 restart when he got spun and forced to settle for a 23rd place finish.
That day Bonsignore said he hoped the effort and showing could lead to more opportunities with the team.
