Whelen Modified Tour Drivers To Participate In Benefit R/C Race In Enfield

Current and former stars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will take to the track for competition in Enfield next week, though on a much smaller scale than they’re normally used to.

Drivers will be competing against each other with radio controlled cars in the second Occupy The Oval/#44 Challenge Benefit Race at R/C Madness in Enfield on March 9.

Expected to participate in the event are current Whelen Modified Tour competitors Mike Stefanik, Justin Bonsignore and Ryan Preece. Former Modified Tour regular Rick Fuller is also expected to be on hand for the competition.

Other drivers are expected to be added to the roster before the event.

Qualifying for the event begins at 1 p.m. with an entry of $25 per class to participate.

All oval racing R/C classes are welcome. The event will benefit Racing4Vets. Admission is free for spectators. R/C Madness is located at 101 North St. in Enfield. For more information call R/C Madness at 860-741-6501.
