Stafford Motor Speedway To Offer Triple Crown Bonus To Whelen Modified Tour Drivers In 2013

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour drivers will have a few more dollars to chase this year when the division hits Stafford Motor Speedway.

Stafford Motor Speedway announced a special bonus Thursday that will pay $25,000 to any driver that can win the Spring Sizzler (April 28), CarQuest 150 (Aug. 2) and the Fall Final (Sept. 29).

“CarQuest has been backing Whelen Modified Tour events at Stafford since 1989 a total of 42 races,” Mark Arute, President of Stafford Motor Speedway said in a release. “[CarQuest vice president of marketing Rich Pallai] came to me with the concept of the CarQuest Triple Crown and I knew it was a perfect fit.”

The Whelen Modified Tour visits Stafford a total of four times in 2013, with the TSI Harley-Davidson 125 scheduled for May 25.
