The man once known commonly in the pits at the Waterford Speedbowl as Darth Vader, among various endearing and not so endearing terms, will be bringing the force back to the shoreline oval regularly in 2013.
Plainville driver Ted Christopher will add regular appearances in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified to his racing schedule this season.
Christopher will drive a car for Norwalk team owner Doug DiPisa
“It should be interesting,” Christopher said. “The plan right now is to be there every night that we can be there this year.”
Christopher will be at the track this coming weekend for the season opening Budweiser Blastoff event, which includes a 63-lap SK Modified feature on Sunday.
Christopher also competes full-time on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, which could effect his appearances at Waterford.
