Rain Wipes Out Waterford Speedbowl Saturday Racing Card

The Waterford Speedbowl faced off against a good for nothing forecast for Saturday and finally gave in.

With a forecast calling for rain for much of the evening, and temperatures in the 40’s, Waterford Speedbowl officials made the decision Saturday morning to call off tonight’s Whelen All-American Series racing card at the track.

The Speedbowl had scheduled an evening where all division would go an extra five laps more than normal. It’s unclear if the extended distance event will be made up.

Whelen All-American Series racing action returns to the Waterford Speedbowl next Saturday with the track’s Four Cylinder Fury night, which will include a 50-lap feature by the Northeast Mini Stock Tour.

  1. I asked on Facebook about the the 5 extra distance race event and see if it would be made up.

This is my question.: “I just got the text on my phone. No speedbowl. Will the Mayham be reschedule to another date?”

This is their response.: “Paul, this event has been cancelled and will not be moved to another date”

This is a shame since it had a promise to become something grate. But I guess RIP is in order for that Mayham event now. I wont lie. I’m a bit upset and mad.
