STAFFORD – Victory Lane was the avenue of debuts to begin the evening Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Though it was two very different stories of the drivers showing up there.
Rookie Ryan Fearn of East Longmeadow kicked off the night’s features by grabbing his first career victory in the 15-lap DARE Stock race.
It was the perfect redemption of the 14-year old, who was in a position to win last week before being involved in nasty crash.
Brandon Michael of Granville, Mass. was second and Andrew Marchese of Tolland third.
While Fearn was competing in his sixth event at Stafford Friday, Jesse Hinze was completing an eight-year journey to victory lane at Stafford.
Hinze, of Farmington, an eight-year veteran of competition at the track, won his first career event in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.
“I really don’t even know where to start. The car was amazing right from the beginning. We’ve had a couple good races, we raced real good last week, the car was good today. We missed practice for the first round. We were only able to get a round of practice in. We’re on some pretty old tires, but we were still able to get it done.
“This is amazing. I have been waiting about eight years to get into victory lane here and get a win. To win here now finally, it’s amazing.”
D.J. Burnham of East Hartford was second and Josh Wood of Palmer, Mass. third.
Gray Wins Late Models
Adam Gray started the week on one knee he ended in standing in jubilation.
Gray, of Belchertown, Mass. survived a wreckfest of a feature in winning the 30-lap Late Model feature.
Gray proposed to his girlfriend Christina on Tuesday. Tom Fearn of East Longmeadow, Mass. was second and Jay Stuart of Preston third.
