Stafford Notes: Austin Bessette Grabs Third Limited Late Model Win; Ronnie Williams Gets Third In SK Light Mods

STAFFORD – Austin Bessette took the lead from Jesse Hinze on lap 14 and never trailed again on the way to victory in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

It was the third victory of the season for Bessette, of Stafford.

Hinze, of Farmington, was second and Duane Provost of Springfield third.

In the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, Ronnie Williams of Ellington went to the lead past Joey Ferrigno on lap 16 and then held off the charges of Ferrigno over the closing laps to get his third victory of the season.

Ferrigno, of East Hartford, was second and Chase Dowling of Roxbury third.

Frank L’Etoile Jr. of Wethersfield picked up his first victory of the season in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature. Kelsey Rottino of Willimantic was second and Alexandra Fearn of East Longmeadow, Mass. third.
