Stafford Notes: Double The Celebration For David Arute After Limited Late Model Victory

STAFFORD – David Arute celebrated victory on the track and in triumph in the standings Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Arute, of Tolland, won the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford.

It was the third victory of the season for Arute. Andrew Hayes of Charlton, Mass. was second and Josh Wood of Palmer, Mass. third.

The victory for Arute, coupled with a 12th place finish by D.J. Burnham, launched Arute into the division lead in the standings. Arute came into the race 14 points behind Burnham, who now sits eight points behind Arute with five events remaining this season.

Chase Dowling of Roxbury picked up his fifth victory of the season in the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature. Dylan Menditto of Brooklyn was second and Tony Membrino Jr. of Plantsville third.

In the 15-lap DARE Stock it was Kyle Casagrande of Stafford scoring the victory. Johnny Walker of Ludlow, Mass. was second and Alexandra Fearn of East Longmeadow, Mass. third.
