The problem is, consistency for Adam Gray in 2013 means nightmares for the rest of the Late Model competition at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Gray, of Belchertown, Mass., won the 30-lap Late Model feature Friday at Stafford.

It was the fourth victory in 12 events this year for Gray and it marked his 11th consecutive podium finish. Gray’s 18th place in the season opening event marks the only race this year that he did not finish in the top three.

“I’m just trying to keep consistent, that’s all I can ask for,” Gray said. “I truly cannot thank my crew enough for all their hard work on this thing week in and week out.”

Mike Scorzelli of Malta, N.Y. was second and Jim Mavlouganes of Bethany third.

JJ Hill went to the lead past Dennis Botticello on lap 17 with Gray following on his bumper to second place. Four laps later, when Hill slipped up the track in turn two, Gray pounced, going to the lead. He went unchallenged the rest of the way.
