Rocco will replace in Ed Puleo in the Mr. Rooter No. 7 SK Modified Saturday at Waterford.

It was announced last week that Rocco and Mr. Rooter Racing team owner Vin Beedle will work together in 2014 as co-owners in Rocco’s SK Modified efforts at Waterford and the Thompson International Speedway and Beedle would also be involved in Rocco’s SK Modified efforts at Stafford Motor Speedway.

It was a case of revolving Rocco’s Saturday afternoon in the No. 7 Mr. Rooter SK Modified. Originally Rocco’s twin brother Jeff was slated to drive the No. 7 SK Modified instead of Puleo.

Beedle said the plan to put Jeff Rocco in the car was originally to work on some research and development for the second year team.

Then Keith Rocco blew the motor in his own No. 88 SK Modified, putting him in need of a ride for the night. Keith Rocco has eight SK Modified victories at Waterford this year and holds a 75-point lead over second place Todd Ceravolo in the division standings with four events remaining this year.

“This wasn’t really planned, but I guess it’s good we’ve got somebody like this behind us,” Rocco said of getting into Beedle’s car for the night.

Said Beedle: “He’s part of the multi-car stable now, he’s running for a championship, he’s got the car.”

Puleo was helping both Rocco brothers in their efforts with the ride Saturday.

“He’s on the car working and that’s working together to better everybody,” Beedle said.

Keith Rocco got the chance to take the car out for some limited practice Saturday.

“We’re fast on the watch but we’ve got get it more comfortable,” Keith Rocco said. “We’ll get it.”
