New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer Of The Week Award: Ken Cassidy Jr.

Each week during the 2013 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly division competitors at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson International Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Each week’s winner will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. Drivers must have a Sunoco Race Fuel decal on their car to be eligible for the weekly award.

The most dominant Mini Stock division driver over the last few years at the Waterford Speedbowl showed his competitors that he’ll be the one carrying the heated momentum from 2013 to 2014 in the division.

Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon, the division’s all-time winningest driver, closed out his fifth championship winning season by winning the 50-lap Mini Stock season finale feature Sunday at the Waterford Speedbowl.

It was the fourth consecutive victory for Cassidy and his ninth overall in 2013. For his efforts, Cassidy is the recipient of this week’s New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week Award.
