Valenti Modified Racing Series director Scott Tapley said he could not comment on the schedule at this time and finishing touches are still being made, though most events have been confirmed through sources close to the series and tracks. The schedule is expected to be announced officially at the Valenti Modified Raing Series banquet on Nov. 23 in Manchester, N.H.

The 2014 Valenti Modified Racing Series will open once again as part of the Blastoff weekend at the Waterford Speedbowl. The series is also expected be part of Waterford’s annual Wings and Wheels event, typically an August show that brings the Valenti Modified Racing Series together with the Northeastern Midget Association and the International SuperModified Association.

Two events at Thompson Speedway have already been announced by the track. The series will run at Thompson on May 29 and close its season as part of Thompson’s World Series weekend on Oct. 18.

Stafford Motor Speedway has not released its 2014 schedule, but the series is expected to once again make three trips to the track next year. The division is expected to run events in June, July and August at Stafford.

Changes from last year’s schedule include the drop from three races to two at Thompson, the loss of an event at the now closed Canaan (N.H.) Fair Speedway and the loss of the event at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Me. Also, the series is on an agreement to run at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Me. every other season, meaning they will not run at the track in 2014.

An event at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y. in September is expected to be added to the schedule.

Monadnock Speedway has confirmed the series will run at its track on April 19, July 5 and Aug. 23. The series is also expected to run three times at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway and twice at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H.
