SEEKONK, Mass. – The season opening Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series winner was one of three drivers topping heat races for the $20,000 to win Open Wheel Wednesday on Thursday at Seekonk Speedway.
Stephen Kopcik, winner of the division’s season opening event on May 26 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, won the second heat race of the night Thursday at Seekonk.
Matt Swanson, the 2023 Open Wheel Wednesday winner, was second in heat race two and Joey Cipriano III was third.
Brian Robie led the way in the first 10-lap heat race, Austin Beers finishing second and Ron Silk third.
Jake Johnson topped the third and final heat race with Anthony Sesely finishing second and Kyle Bonsignore.
