Isaiah Newcomb Declared Sunoco Mod Winner After Keith Rocco DQ At Thompson Speedway

On June 13 Keith Rocco celebrated his first victory in the Sunoco 604 Modified division at Thompson Speedway. 

Thursday there was another celebration for Rocco and his Mike Beebe owned team at Thompson, but it soon turned sour. 

After winning the 50-lap Sunoco 604 Modified feature Thursday at Thompson Speedway, Rocco was disqualified from the event for having tampered seals on his motor. 

The penalty gave the victory to second place finisher Isaiah Newcomb of Plymouth, Mass. Danny Cates of Chaplin was moved to second and fourth place finisher Josh Carey of East Longmeadow was moved to third. 

The penalties continued following the 20-lap Street Stock feature. First place Ryan Waterman, second place Corey Fanning, fourth place Aaron Plemon were all disqualified. Third place finisher Jason Chicolas of Sutton, Mass was declared the winner. 

Derek Gluchacki of Dartmouth, Mass. topped the 25-lap Late Model feature. Ryan Morgan of North Franklin was second and Brian Tagg of Oxford, Mass. was third. 

Tyler Chapman of Ellington topped the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature. Nickolas Hovey of Chaplin was second and Meghan Fuller of Auburn, Mass. third. 

Jared Roy of Moosup won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature.
