SEEKONK, Mass. – Woody Pitkat bounced back from a problematic heat race to win the consolation event at the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Open Wheel Wednesday on Thursday at Thompson Speedway.
Pitkat went to the front early and held off the charges of Les Hinckley III late in the 15-lap event.
Hinckley was second and Blake Barney third.
R.J. Marcotte (fourth) and Todd Patnode (fifth) rounded out the cars that transferred to the main event from the 12-car field.
