New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer Of The Week Award: Keith Rocco

Each week during the 2013 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly division competitors at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson International Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Each week’s winner will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. Drivers must have a Sunoco Race Fuel decal on their car to be eligible for the weekly award.

Chalk it up as a perfect weekend of Modified racing with an extra podium to boot.

Granted, Keith Rocco’s typical weekend workload was a little less than usual, but the Wallingford driver definitely got the job done.

Rocco held off the attacks of Woody Pitkat and Ryan Preece Thursday at Thompson International Speedway to win the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature.

Rain gave Rocco a Friday night off from Stafford Motor Speedway. On Saturday night Rocco continued his weekend revelry by coming to the front like a force and driving away with victory in the 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Rocco also grabbed a third place finish in the 30-lap Late Model feature Saturday at Waterford.

For his efforts, Rocco is the recipient of this week’s New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Performer of the Week Award.
