Ron Silk Makes It Two In A Row In Modifieds In World Series At New Smyrna

Exiting the winter doldrums for the relative mildness of central Florida in February is clearly doing wonders for Ron Silk.

For the second consecutive night Ron Silk of Norwalk stood in victory lane after the 35-lap Tour Type Modified feature Saturday at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.

Ryan Preece of Berlin was second and Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa. third in the 15-car field.

According to The Chrome Horn, Silk started on the pole and never trailed in the event.
