STAFFORD – Steady rain through the morning has forced a holding pattern for the Spring Sizzler Saturday schedule at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Track crews worked steadily through the late morning in attempt to dry the track, only to have precipitation return early in the afternoon.
Rain continued to fall as of 1:30 p.m., with track officials holding out hope to get all or some of the Saturday schedule in.
Saturday’s schedule originally included practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Also on the schedule is practice and qualifying for all other divisions.
Features on the schedule for Saturday include a 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, a 20-lap Limited Late Model feature, a 15-lap DARE Stock feature and a 25-lap Northeast Mini Stock feature.
