Rain Stops NASCAR Whelen Mod Tour Event At Stafford Speedway For Second Consecutive Week

Whelen Modified TourSTAFFORD – For the second consecutive week, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour TSI Harley-Davidson 125 at Stafford Motor Speedway fell victim to rain at Stafford Motor Speedway.

The race is now scheduled to be run next Friday, June 6, at Stafford.

The race was originally scheduled for May 23, but rain stopped the show that night before the Whelen Modified Tour could take the track for their feature.

It marked the fourth consecutive week that rain has stopped racing at Stafford. Racing cards on May 9 and May 16 were both cancelled early those days. On May 23 three features were run before rain brought an end to the show.

Friday the rain arrived at the track at about 6 p.m., about 25 minutes into a scheduled 45-minute practice session.

The June 6 card will also include the completion of the SK Modified feature that began on May 23. Also on the card will be a 30-lap Late Model feature, a 20-lap SK Light Modified feature, a 20-lap Limited Late Model feature, a 15-lap DARE Stock feature and a 20-lap Legends feature.
