Keith Rocco has thoroughly dominated the competition behind the wheel of a Late Model the last two seasons at the Waterford Speedbowl.

In February he will take that dominating Scott Fearn owned team on the road to Florida.

American-Canadian Tour officials announced Tuesday that Rocco, of Meriden, will enter the ACT American Racer Challenge Series Feb. 16-17 at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.

“My Late Model car owner, Scott Fearn is a big fan of ACT Late Model racing,” Rocco said in a release. “That is how I got started in the fender type cars a few years ago. We have had a pretty busy Modified schedule chasing NASCAR points for the past few years, although we tried to get to a couple ACT shows, but weather and other issues kind of put that on the back burner. This mid-winter trip to Florida and the American Racer Challenge Cup is going to be a great break. We are looking forward to our first ACT event.”

Rocco has won before in an SK Modified at New Smyrna during the track’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, which brings numerous divisions together to run for a week at the track annually.

The American Racer Challenge will bring the best of the American Canadian Tour together for twin 100-lap features on consecutive nights at New Smyrna.

“This should be fun and just what our Late Model team needs to see how competitive we can be in the full fendered car,” Rocco said. “I was glad to see that ACT is moving into Connecticut with the recent announcement that they will race at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Hopefully, we can have some success and find time to race a few more Late Model races in 2015,” concluded Rocco.

sounds like you have some inside knowledge wrenchman. please enlighten us on how they were cheating. they seemed to win 10 more races after the flex plate, finish 2nd in that garside car, and win a race in that 10 year old back up car. Id love to know what them guys are up to.

JEALOUSY IS A UGLY THING IT WILL EAT YOU UP ALIVE, THE FACT IS KEITH AND HIS TEAM WORK HARD MAYBE HARDER THEN THE REST AND THE PROOF IS IN THE RESULTS. AND ONE MORE THING KEITH IS A BETTER DRIVER THEN MOST AND YOU CAN’T ARGUE WITH THAT.

  7. If that is the case he and Gentes would have a good points race for the championship if he ran at Thompson in the Late Models

  8. Pitgatelady says

    Good Luck kid Roc !
