Valenti Modified Racing Series Announces Tentative 17-Race Schedule For 2015

2014 VMRS LogoDuring their annual series banquet Saturday, Valenti Modified Racing Series officials announced a tentative 17-race schedule for the 2015.

The schedule includes 14 committed events with the expectations of adding three events at the Waterford Speedbowl.

With foreclosure auction issues still be decided in court, the status of the 2015 racing season at the Waterford Speedbowl remains up in the air.

As had already been announced previous to Saturday, the series will make at least four stops in Connecticut in 2015.

Three events will be held at Stafford Motor Speedway (May 22, June 26 and Sept. 4). The series will also compete at Thompson Speedway as part of the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing on Oct. 17.

At the Speedbowl the Valenti Modified Racing Series would likely be part of the track’s season opening and season ending events in addition to the annual August Wings and Wheels show.

Without Waterford on the schedule, the Valenti Modified Racing is tentatively scheduled to open the season on April 18 at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H.

The remainder of the schedule includes events at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y. (May 30), Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway (June 6), Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H. (June 19, Oct. 11), Monadnock (July 4, Aug. 22), Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Fair Haven, Vt. (July 24), Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough, Me. (Aug. 1) and Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Me. (Aug. 29)

I guess that ends the speculation that the ACT Tour would be running at OPS the night before the 250.

Also, for some reason this schedule here is slightly different than the schedule the MRS posted on their facebook page. There races at Airborne, Devil’s Bowl, OPS & Beech Ridge weren’t included, but a race at Canaan, NH was.

    Kind of odd.

  2. Andy,
That is the schedule on their Facebook page. The schedule originally posted on their Facebook was incorrect and was later changed.
