Ryan Preece, Eddie MacDonald Triumphant Monday At New Smyrna World Series

New Smyrna WS LogoIt was a night for streaking drivers Monday at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.

Ryan Preece kept his winning ways going in the 35-lap Tour Type Modified feature.

Preece, of Berlin, went to the lead early and rolled to his second consecutive victory in three nights of Modified action at the World Series.

Preece crossed the finish line in front on opening night on Friday, but was later disqualified from the victory for being too light. He came back to win in his TS Haulers ride on night two Saturday. The Tour Type Modified division was off Monday.

Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, N.Y was second Monday and Chuck Hossfeld of Ransomville, N.Y. third. Bonsignore was declared the winner on opening night after Preece’s disqualification.

In the 100-lap American Canadian Tour event it was Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Mass. winning for the second consecutive night for the division.

Wayne Helliwell Jr. was second and Alex Labbe third. Keith Rocco of Wallingford was 13th and Jeff Rocco of Wallingford 20th.

    Teach Jeff Rocco how to drive a racecar then maybe he can improve on that 20th place result…..wonder if he sucker punched anyone from behind?
