Pioneer Valley Indoor Karting in West Hatfield, Mass. will host a fund raiser event for local Modified driver Eric Leclair on April 19.
For a $60 registration fee, each driver will receive two qualifying races and free race car to use on another day. The top 30 qualifiers will be placed in one of five main events to be run that day.
Trophies will be awarded to winners of each main event run that day. Doors open at 8 am with qualifying beginning at 9 am. There will also be a 50/50 raffle at the event.
The 60-year old Leclair, of Easthampton, Mass., is looking to run a full season in a Sportsman Modified at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. and is also on the hunt for a full-time ride with the Valenti Modified Racing Series.
“I’ve got my feelers out there for anything,” Leclair said. “I’m 60 years old going on 30 and I’d really love to find a [Valenti Modified Racing Series] ride.”

It’s would be nice if people like that would help a lot of people out people don’t spend like they used to a lot of teams have folded due to financial troubles and most teams want young guns to run their cars or if u bring Ching to the table.
