Sid’s View/Vault Productions Increasing Purses For Nostalgia Night At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

New London-Waterford Speedbowl history has long been the passion of Tom “Sid” DiMaggio, owner of Vault Productions and creater of the “Sid’s View” web video series.

So it seems only fitting that on the night when the track celebrates its history, DiMaggio and his crew will be adding to the celebration for racers.

Vault Productions will add $100 to the winner’s purse for the five NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions in action on the track’s Nostalgia Night on July 25.

“As the track historian, that’s my kind of night,” DiMaggio said.

DiMaggio, who has been working for years on a documentary on the history of the track, also produces the track’s historical Speedbowl History website.

Each winner that night will get a $100 bill from Vault Productions in victory lane. The SK Modified, Late Model, Limited Sportsman, Mini Stock and SK Light Modified divisions will earn the bonus money that evening.

“It’s a simple way for us to give back to the competitors,” DiMaggio said. “Without them I would have no content for either my web series or my historical site.”

Nostalgia night will also include exhibitions from multiple vintage class historical divisions. The track will also celebrate the history of racing at the facility on the midway with numerous displays and old cars on hand for viewing.
