  1. How much ?? 55.00..isma..yawn

  2. Does the Speedbowl have a curfew? With seven features, qualifying, driver introductions, etc. I can see this running long after midnight.

  3. Its been many many years since the Speedbowl has really had to worry about 12 midnight curfew. Since NASCAR allowed its top taxi cab division to race until 2 or 3 am at the last Daytona race I don’t see why the Speedbowl couldn’t do the same if they wanted to especially since the CT DMV no longer babysits the events.

  4. They almost hit the curfew last year for this event. An SK put fluid all over the place in the heat, a midget had a fire at the end of the race which caused the driver to get burned, an ISMA Super had a fire which caused a red flag, and the VRMS piled up a good portion of the field on the frontstretch. If the VMRS had one more caution they would have had to stop the race due to the curfew.

When the Kortewegs ran the Bowl they hit curfew about every other week. The racing was awesome, but boy did they love to have intermissions, and then intermissions in the middle of intermissions.

  6. I remember they came close to curfew last year. I was following on Speed51.com. Of course that was also the night of the Tony Stewart/Kevin Ward incident. If the race hadn’t gone that late I wouldn’t have heard the news till the next morning.

  7. Pretty sure that the speedbowl still has a town enforced curfew of midnight. Last one I can remember was quite a few years ago during what was then the True Value Modified Series. Leave it to a couple people to complain about what is going to be another great event.
