THOMPSON – The opening weekend of the season is in the rearview mirror.
Despite all the weather worries, Icebreaker 2016 went off this weekend with nary a snowflake or raindrop in sight.
And with that, the racing season in Connecticut is off and running?
So now we want to ask you after seeing the packed Icebreaker schedule, what do you think was the biggest story of the weekend?

To all of you weather doomsday profits who stayed home: The infield was not a swamp. The parking lots were dry, not muddy. The morning wind turned into an afternoon breeze. The sun was bright and warm most of the day. ( It did cool off during the 150. I’ll give you that. ) And, the racing was great and exciting. It’s a good thing you’re all not meteorolgists. Too bad you missed a great day.
You call that modified race exciting? They need to have a second assistant starter as the first ones arm was about to fall off by waving the passing flag so much.
…and there were a few muddy spots in places, but the parking attendants seem to do a good job keeping cars out of them.
Has clueless Bob seen the forecast for this weekend?…..and if that was great and exciting racing I will have to rethink what the words great and exciting really mean…….The grave is being dug for the Mod tour.
