Eric Goodale Leads The Way In Whelen Mod Tour Practice At New London-Waterford Speedbowl

WATERFORD – Eric Goodale topped the speed charts in practice Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl in preparation for tonight’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour New England Cycle Center 161.

Goodale, of Riverhead, N.Y., set a fast lap of 14.065 seconds (95.983 mph) during the 90-minute session.

Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. was second during the session at 14.066 seconds (95.976 mph).

Doug Coby of Milford, coming off a victory in the most recent series event on April 14 at Stafford Motor Speedway, was third at 14.070 seconds (95.949 mph).

Brendan Bock, of Franklin Square, N.Y., was fourth at 14.072 seconds (95.935 mph) and Rob Summers of Manchester was fifth (14.085 seconds, 95.847 mph).

Jimmy Blewett of Howell, N.J., Donny Lia of Jericho, N.Y., Chase Dowling of Roxbury, Timmy Solomito of Islip, N.Y. and Ron Silk of Norwalk made up the remainder of the top-10 respectively.
