No power steering? No problem for Jon McKennedy Saturday night in Groveton, N.H.
Despite the steering issues, McKennedy still powered to victory in the first ever Valenti Modified Racing Series at Speedway 51 in Groveton, N.H. Saturday night.
It was the first Valenti Modified Racing Series victory of the season for McKennedy, of Chelmsford, Mass.
It was McKennedy’s 16th career Valenti Modified Racing Series victory and his first win with the series since Sept. 14, 2012.
McKennedy is a three-time Valenti Modified Racing Series champion (2009, 2010, 2012).
Todd Patnode of Richmond, N.H. was second and Mike Holdridge of Madison third.
Reigning series champion Woody Pitkat of Stafford, coming off SK Modified and Late Model division victories Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway, was third.
The Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to action on June 4 at Seekonk (Mass.) Speedway.
Who is his crew chief,
Nice to see that putting Pitkat in the Stebbins entry over Patnode isn’t working out. Patnode has entered 2 MRS events and finished ahead of Pitkat in both!
