FORT WORTH, Texas – Ryan Preece drove to a 22nd-place finish in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Driving the Turnkey Construction/Turnkey Charities Chevrolet, Preece turned a 25th-place qualifying spot into a fine run, scoring a finish that kept him 17th in Xfinity Series points.

“My experience at this track is still slight,” Preece said, “but we were able to put together a good race. The car went where I wanted it to go, and we got in some good runs. I’m looking forward to coming back here.”

Sprint Cup driver Kyle Larson won the race, edging Brad Keselowski.

The series moves on to Phoenix International Raceway next week before concluding the season the following week at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Comments

  1. He’s stuck in 17 place no matter how he finishes possibly 18th if he settles for 20th on down in the next 2 races. Notice all 3 team mates are right next to each other.

That all 3 teams are right next to each other suggests that the organization is horsepower limited. The drivers are doing all they can with what they have.

I bet if we did a GoFundMe effort, we can procure some top HP for Ryan.

I think they had money for some hendrick power but hendrick turned them down.
