  1. It was an incredible moron move for brother Diego to dump Sundeen. It was a low point of the race if not the entire weekend. The celebration must of been hollow.

  2. I agree with you, 450mike. Sundeen was going to win the race, and Monahan was still going to win the championship. I heard that Diego was escorted out of the speedway, which was probably a good idea. The only thing I’ll say is that I think the low point of that race was actually when Monahan got out of the car and got booed and asked for more boos while bringing up TC. Teddy was booed for different reasons. Shawn Monahan was booed because he makes a complete fool of himself on and off the track. Getting the nickname, Shawn “the Showman” wasn’t a compliment, but he still hasn’t realized that.

Agree. What a total scumbag maneuver by Diego. I mean come on. To purposely take out your brothers competition is a disgrace. Those two should hang their heads in shame, but they won’t because i get the feeling this is just their nature, to be total morons. A complete and utter disgrace to themselves and racing.

I was in turn four and had a good view. My first thought was it was a paid move to have your brother help win a championship. But on Diego’s defense, he hit everyone on the track and just hit Sundeen a little harder than the others. Feel bad for Shawn because at that point and time when the crowd was booing I don’t think he knew exactly why.

  5. Everyone just assumed Diego spun him to help Shawn. I was thinking the same think. Shawn probably didn’t know why he was getting booed so bad.

  6. It was said over the radio to park Diego and have him escorted off the property, Shawn knew exactly what happend by the time he reached Victory Lane. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Diego was put in that car for one race and one reason, mission accomplished.

  7. Drivers in the Limited Sportsman (and Mini Stock) division do not have spotters, they have Raceceivers. They hear all communication from race control and pretty much know about every incident that happens because Scott Tapley and the rest of his officials discuss incidents on the channel that we monitor during the race. They like to keep all calls black and white so nobody has any questions after the race.

Guys a great person don’t throw stones!

  9. Who is ‘throwing stones’ exactly? Seems to me like people are just making comments on what they watched unfold during this race. If you want to be seen as a ‘great person’ in others eyes you don’t pave a path making yourself and your entire team look like dirt bags. Shawn and Diego made a mockery of themselves all on there own and tainted their so called ‘championship’. I hope
that they enjoy that hollow celebration.

great person??? both drive like hammerheads.. wrecked lots of competitors.. shawn has anger management problems..threatened many people at the race track .. he is delusional thinking he is the show.. problem is they are both “enabled” at the bowl..go ahead and throw stones.. karma …

  11. Yep, Shawm’s brother, Diego ,ran that race just to take out Shawn’s competition…Sundeen. As a result, Diego was escorted off the property. You can clearly see the INTENTIONAL dump on YouTube. But the moderator here won’t let me post that video. Video & actions speak louder than words, & the evidence is CLEAR. Title: “Thompson-10/15/2017-Ltd. Sportsman” Diego tries to dump Sundeen at 08:32, then succeeds at the 09:31 mark. It is blatent!
