Saturday Open Practice At Stafford Motor Speedway Cancelled

Stafford Motor Speedway is getting the weather issues out of the way before things start to count. 

Stafford officials announced Friday that their scheduled Saturday open practice has been cancelled. 

Saturday’s forecast for the Stafford area calls for rain throughout the day. 

The NAPA Spring Sizzler is scheduled to kick off the Stafford Speedway 2019 schedule April 27-28. 

The track will host an open practice on Friday April 26. The main grandstand for the event will be open to the public at no charge.

    I hope this is the first AND last rainout of their season!

    I understand the thought process in wishing for no rain outs. But that schedule last year at Stafford for teams with only one rain out was brutal. Except for Marcello Rufrano of course who enjoyed his time in Italy and lost no points opportunities on the one night it did get rained out.
