Valenti Modified Racing Series Moving Event From Monadnock To Claremont

(Press release from Valenti Modified Racing Series)

Valenti Modified Racing Series president Jack Bateman announced Thursday the canceled race at Monadnock Speedway originally scheduled for Saturday May 4, will find the VMRS race moved to Claremont Speedway Friday June 14. The decision to do so was made by track co-owners Norman Wrenn Jr. and Ben Bosowski .

Said Wrenn, “Jeff Zuidema made the suggestion to move the show to Claremont . We thought about it and decided to reach out to Jack. We will do everything we can for the competitior and fans . It’s unfortunate that we have been dealing with bad weather that has handicapped our plans but we’ll work with all involved and do everything we can.”

Bateman was appreciative of the new track owners , Zuidema, and track manager Phil Hayes.  “ When I saw what was happening at Monadnock and what they are dealing with and the fact the series (VMRS ) is there a week after the opener , I never expected a makeup date . I am speaking for the whole series – we very grateful for their kind consideration.”

Comments

  1. Don’t see that kind of cooperation in this business that often. Well played.

  2. Fast Eddie says

Nice job to prevent losing the event altogether and give the racers a chance to race! However, the down side is a new scheduling conflict; Claremont VMRS vs. Stafford Open with the first Bull Ring Bash on Sunday. Mother Nature strikes AGAIN!!

  3. Ok with me my friends love going to claremont
