Foxwoods To Celebrates Motorsports With Ignition Speed Festival Sunday

Foxwoods Resort Casino, the premier resort destination in the Northeast, is excited to host Monza World Class Karting’s Ignition Speed Festival presented by ACI Dynamix on Sunday, 18 August. The festival will feature a full day of auto sports spanning across the entire property, and all events will be free of charge.

Streaming live throughout the Ignition Speed festival will be two HOONIGAN Media Machine hosts, John Naderi along with Kanan Hooker. In addition to the live stream, John Naderi and Kanan Hooker will be joined by Jimmy Oakes as they take part in the 3-hour endurance karting race hosted by MONZA World Class Karting.

Ignition Speed Festival events will include:

• Broke. East. Meet. – More than 1,000 vehicles will take over every floor of the Great Cedar Garage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a car show that auto enthusiasts throughout New England won’t want to miss.
• Endurance Karting Race at MONZA – Drivers will embark on a high-speed, 3-hour endurance challenge from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. After watching the competition, registered spectators can use their wristband to receive a $5 discount and test out the track for themselves starting at 1 p.m.
• eSports Rocket League Tournament at MONZA – Gamers will compete for the Rocket League eSports tournament title from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by Johnny Rockets, the tournament is free to enter, and any walk-ups are welcome to participate.
• Autocross Motorsports Battle – The Connecticut Autocross Rally Team (CART) will host an autocross battle at Lot 10 featuring the best cars and drivers in the region. Spectators can watch these driving enthusiasts speed around a tight course of orange cones from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and meet Brian Wadman, 2019 US DRIFT Shootout along with Formula DRIFT-Pro2 driver Dmitriy Brutskiy.

After getting their fill of cars, karting and more, attendees are invited to attend the after party at Shrine Night Club starting at 9 p.m. Shuttle service will run in a continuous loop from the hotel valets, to Great Cedar Garage, to Lot 10 to accommodate guests wishing to see everything the festival has to offer.

Guests may register online or at MONZA World Class Karting either in advance or the day of the event to receive a wristband that will unlock special food and beverage discounts at Hard Rock Café, Johnny Rockets, Sugar Factory, Stony Creek Brewery and SHRINE Nightclub as well as exclusive deals on MONZA World Class Karting and the Highflyer Zipline.
