PSR Products To Present RaceDayCT Florida Speedweeks Modified Coverage

In Connecticut, the holiday cheer is in the rear view and winter has simply become about the cold.

But it doesn’t mean we aren’t that far off from Modifieds revving up for the 2020 season. Just not in Connecticut quite yet.

But in less than a month the Modifieds will be hitting the track in Florida at New Smyrna Speedway and Bronson Speedway.

RaceDayCT will be live on site for all the Modified action Feb. 8 through Feb. 14 in Florida and our coverage of all the events will be presented by PSR Products.

RaceDayCT will have Live Updates from Bronson Speedway in Archer, Fla. for the annual Kickoff to Speedweek feature on Feb. 8.

Then the action moves over to New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway for five consecutive nights of Modified action at the annual New Smyrna World Series. RaceDayCT will be on site live for every night of Modified action at New Smyrna.

Denise DuPont, Jim DuPont and Curtis DuPont will lead the Florida Speedweek Modified coverage from Bronson and New Smyrna and will also head over to Daytona International Speedway for some coverage of NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece as he readies for his second Daytona 500 with JTG Daughtery Racing.

Comments

  1. There are 35 Modified registered for New Smyrna! That is really impressive for a division that does not run down there normally. A good mix of drivers too. Any idea if there will be live online video coverage this year like they had in the past with Fanschoice.

  2. CSG,
Races will be broadcast as part of the NBC Gold grassroots streaming package.

  3. That’s a relief. I’ve been checking the schedule daily and combing the internet to find out if was going to be included and all I could find was that the ARCA race was going to be streamed.
Amen csg. How refreshing to read a comment saying indeed there is something to look forward to. As the Thompson deal once again proves we mostly like to grovel in the negative stuff and say there is no good news while we actually ignore the good news.
Not only a strong field but intriguing. Strongest down State NY, NJ contingent we’ve seen pretty much ever isn’t it? Three teams from Gershow, Catalano’s with 3, Preece with two and the rest of the field riddled with new chassis and equipment. One would think Hirschman would have his way with the field but you never know.
So now I can throw the race up on the big TV via Roku as I understand it and be watching the updates on the computer compliments of RaceDayCT and PSR. 5 nights of modified madness and the promise of the summer in the middle of sucky old February.

  4. Hey Shawn, I’m not finding any info on a broadcast of the Florida SpeedWeeks Mod races on the NBC TrackPass Gold or anywhere. Can you please post something, perhaps a link?

    Thanks 🙏

  5. Darealgoodfella,
Kyle Souza from NASCAR posted on Twitter on Jan. 20 that New Smyrna track officials had confirmed that the World Series would be broadcast live as part of the NBC Sports Gold Trackpass package.

  6. I’m not seeing it on the NBC Sports Gold Trackpass package schedule… I’ll keep looking.

  7. Darealgoodfella,
If you scroll to the bottom of the NBC Sports Trackpass schedule page under “Local Short Track Racing” it just reads “Schedule TBD”. I think it just hasn’t been populated yet on the NBC Sports Gold website.

  8. Thanks, I’ll keep looking there. I was kinda thinking the same.

    Looking forward to RaceDayCT.com coverage.

  9. Thank Shawn. That is great news. I know people are probably going to complain about having to pay for something they got for free last year but $20 for a year of mod races plus some other local short track racing is a deal. Most of the online dirt race coverage I have been watching is $29-40 per month. Some of the big shows are 50 buck for a 3 or 4 day show. So 20 bucks for a year is very reasonable. I know seeing that entry list for New Smyrna this morning got me really excited for some racing. I am really curious to see how pavement late model ace Bubba Pollard does in a mod.
