Sunoco Named Official Fuel of American-Canadian Tour, Thunder Road And White Mountain

(Press Release from American-Canadian Tour)

The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and its sanctioned tracks will all be fueled by Sunoco beginning in the 2020 season. New England Racing Fuel, the official New England distributor of Sunoco race fuels, has signed a multi-year agreement to make Sunoco the Official Fuel of ACT, Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Speedbowl, and N. Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP).

Sunoco and New England Racing Fuel will replace VP Racing Fuels at ACT and Thunder Road, which had been the official fuel of both since 2012.  They were already the official fuel supplier of WMMP, which is entering its second year of ACT sanctioning.

As part of the agreement, Sunoco standard 110 octane fuel will now be available for purchase at all Thunder Road and WMMP racing events. Sunoco fuel will also be presented as part of several contingency awards and year-end bonuses. This includes the Sunoco Hard Charger awards for all ACT Late Model Tour events, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger events at Thunder Road, and Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tiger events at WMMP.

“We are very pleased to begin this new chapter as the Official Fuel of ACT, Thunder Road, and WMMP,” New England Racing Fuel President and COO John Holland said. “New England Racing Fuel has a long tradition of serving racers throughout Northern New England, and ACT racers will benefit from the consistency and widespread availability of our Sunoco Race Fuels. We are confident this is the beginning of a long and mutually successful partnership.”

“We’re looking forward to this new partnership,” ACT managing partner Cris Michaud said. “We had a great relationship with VP Racing Fuels and certainly wish them the best going forward. At the same time, we think Sunoco and New England Racing Fuel have a lot to offer our teams, and we’re excited to see what the coming years bring.”

  1. I wonder if teams competing will be required to use Sunoco fuel.
