Mark’s Northeast Motorsports Expo Cancelled

Officials from Mark’s Northeast Motorsports Expo announced Thursday that this weekend’s show at the Eastern State Exposition Center in West Springfield, Mass. has been cancelled.

The second Mark’s Northeast Motorsports Expo joins a list of thousands of events cancelled over the last two days because of the ongoing health scare created by the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

“Due to circumstance beyond our control, and the Coronavirus, we have been forced to cancel the show for this year. More information to follow within the next 24 hours regarding refunds and next years show. We apologize for any inconvenience and we share in your disappointment.

One of the show’s organizer’s, Guy Beaudoin said crews spent the day at the Eastern States Exposition doing a load-in for the event, which was scheduled to open Friday afternoon and run through Sunday.

“The place was almost full,” Beaudoin said. “It’s really too bad. But this was out of our control. The staff is deeply saddened by this. It’s hard to watch a year’s worth of preparation go down the tubes.”

Beaudoin said show participants who had already loaded in cars on Thursday can pick them up Friday or Saturday.
