Tri-Track Open Mod Series Monadnock Event Postponed

Tri-Track Open Modified Series management announced Monday that the series opening event scheduled for May 9 at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. has been postponed indefinitely.

The event was originally scheduled to be run on May 2 but was previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tri-Track Open Modified Series released the following statement Monday:

“The Tri Track Open Modified Series event at Monadnock Speedway, scheduled for May 9, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our race teams, drivers, staff and fans continues to be paramount during this unprecedented situation. The series will continue to abide by guidelines given by local government and public health officials. At this time, Tri Track officials are working together with Monadnock Speedway to come up with a reschedule date that will fit both parties.”

The next currently scheduled event on the Tri-Track Open Modified Series schedule is May 24 at Claremont (N.H.) Speedway.

  1. I have to ask, is Tri-Track being sarcastic?

  2. Knuckles Mahoney says

Not surprising at all. Don’t see May 24th happening either.

  3. Fast Eddie says

I can’t say that I didn’t expect the rescheduling, but I do feel bad for the Monadnock ownership, not to mention the other track owners as well. Last year Monadnock’s first big event was “grandstanded out” due to construction delays. This year’s first event has now been “virused out”. I thought I had been to enough races over the years to have experienced all the “outs”. I’ve been rained out, snowed out, sleeted out, winded out, lightninged out, fogged out, dewed out, mudded out, flooded out, water seepaged out, darked out, temperatured out, electrical failured out, and grandstanded out. By far, being virused out is the worst of all, hitting everywhere simultaneously for an extended time period. Stay safe everyone!

  4. Folks, except for the Trumpsters and Fox Nation, the rest of the world is preparing for social distancing through the fall. There are some very limited openings. Extremely unlikely that there will be large crowds allowed for a very long time.

  5. Texas opens on Friday. Just saying… Tri Track had to know this was going to happen. By happen, I mean not happen.
