Too early for sweeping assessments of where we stand?
December 2019 vs December 2020.
Stafford-rock solid with 3 NWMT races, 4 opens, the new Pro Late Model open plus numerous other special events scheduled this time last year. 2021 looks better. Pretty much the same level of offerings plus StaffordSpeedway.TV brings racing to more people and the SRX event epic by any standard. Advantage 2021.
Thompson – the Terry Eames group cutting payouts, lowering expectations and the fan base in a sour mood about the track in general. 2021 offers no NWMT events. However the Michaud/Mayberry group knows what they are doing, is offering intriguing new events with robust payouts and even the return of the 300. Advantage 2021.
The Speedbowl- ??????? December 2019 with no reason to think much would change.
December 2020 still ?????? for 2021 but every reason to believe a terrific season will be forthcoming having logged an successful re opening last season. Advantage 2021.
NHMS- Musket promised for 2020 but no modifieds in connection with the Cup series event. No Musket in 2021 but modifieds will be part of the Cup show with a Michaud/Mayberry modified open to boot. Advantage 2021.
Clearly 2021 is winning at least at this stage. All the more remarkable having been sucker punched by 2020.

1 of every 1000 Americans have now died of covid-19. Kind of tough to celebrate knowing that. Thoughts and prayers for all the families who have lost someone to this. Also thinking of those affected by the Christmas day bombing in Nashville Tennessee, hopefully they’ll catch those responsible. At this point I’m more than ready for 2020 to end, and pray that 2021 is a much better year.
