Highlights of the schedule include a new SKยฎ Modified Fast Five Series. Drivers who compete in each of the extra distance races will earn extra money, and points will be accumulated to crown a champion at the end of the five races.

Also new this year is the three race Triple Threat Series. This series of three races will be held on June 12th, August 21st, and the final on October 21st. Details about those two programs will be finalized in the near future and additional information will be released.

The Open Street Stocks return for five events during the Saturday Championship Season. This season the Open Street Stocks will be following a rules package very much like what was used for the Northeast Street Stock Championship Event, which was held at Smacktoberfest this past season.

The Pro-4 Modifieds return for five events in 2021. Also, NEMA and the Granite State Pro Stock Series will return for events. As always you never know what else may be added as we get closer to the start of the 2021 season.

As always, Wednesdays will feature the Super-X Cars, X-Cars, Bandoleros and Legend Cars. The Vintage Midget Racing Series will join the Wednesday night events on seven occasions this season. In addition to Wednesday nights, the Super-X Cars, X-Cars, and the Bandoleros can be found competing on select Saturday events during the season.

Finally there are two Family Fun Events scheduled this season. The first one is slated for Sunday, May 23rd and will feature Spectator Drags, Ladies Enduro, Truck/SUV Enduro and Round 1 of the Compact Enduro Championship. New this season, the top 10 finishers in each event of this five race series will earn points towards a championship that will be crowned at Smacktoberfest.

There will be three other events held on Saturdays during the season for the Compact Enduro cars. For competitors, 2021 Number Registration forms and the remainder of the divisional rules for 2021 will be released in the upcoming weeks.

  1. The Speedbowl continues to be the wild card in New England short track racing …

  2. Hey dareal, how about that, hereโ€™s the 2021 Speedbowl schedule. Are you freaking happy now!

As usual, open mouth insert foot.

  4. The track reports the schedule to before their own website. RacedayCT continues to impress.

  5. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฆ„2020 says

How are them new stands Dafella. Do they meet your engineering standards? I’m curious about the two day event in November. A week before what is usually the turkey derby.

  6. Nice to see a schedule- hope they are able to race the complete schedule

  7. Viva Race Fan says

    Here we go ….

  8. i’m happy for the fans and racers who love waterford, hope the new season is good for all the local tracks. maybe they’ll all align their rules a little better so more teams can run at different tracks with basically the same car.

  9. Congratulations Speedbowl nation that schedule is downright impressive with intriguing wrinkles. You had a good season with only a few weeks notice in 2020 . Plenty of lead time now for the teams should make this years racing downright robust.

  10. 2021 Rukes says

Chuck, Stafford aligned rules for street stocks over the last two seasons and Waterford and Thompson just made some big changes to their rules a few days ago that requires pretty big changes. Their street stock are pretty much Stafford limited late models now. SK and SKL are pretty much Stafford rules.

  11. Hey Goodfella do you know when the Bowl is going to open?

  12. No MRS and No Carritta, Waterford was their only hope to add dates, its over for both

  13. The Atomic Punk says

I wish for terrible karma to those who put $ in his pocket. Hope the place goes silent again until new ownership.

  14. Hey Punk, whereโ€™s those trailers parked on site with the humans locked in them? Please enlighten us since you seem to have the inside scoop.

Terrible karma? So you just arbitrarily throw that crap at decent human beings that are race fans and competitors that enjoy spectating and racing at the Speedbowl?

Punk? Alias that fits your post to a โ€œTโ€.

  15. Keep hope alive.

  16. Where are all my Covid peeps?? Wait, this doesn’t involve Nascar so we are back to looking at a robust 2021. Too funny.

Post a Nascar story and the world will be ending again.

  17. “Where are all my Covid peeps?? Wait, this doesnโ€™t involve Nascar so we are back to looking at a robust 2021. Too funny.”

Are you saying it’s gone away? I personally know two wonderful, healthy folks who died from it in the last two weeks in CT. Both attended Thanksgiving family gatherings. One played league softball and basketball just last season.

Here’s hoping you never have to know the pain.

  18. A schedule from the ‘bowl.

    That’s special. So cute.

So what are the headliners? Any big touring series?

  19. The Atomic Punk says

Yes Earl. Those who prey on the less fortunate tend to bring out the blunt honesty in me…. I stand by it.. You support a Predator. I support a smile when something bad happens to you.

  20. Those are pretty significant changes to the Speedbowl formerly Limited Sportsman rules. I’m reading Mustangs, Camaro’s, Challengers allowed. Two barrel carbs and locked rear ends. I don’t see it as being any where near equivalent to the Stafford LLM’s as a package that with reasonable changes can become Late Models.
Stafford…sheesh. No they won’t be adapting any common rules with other tracks in the foreseeable future.

  21. Any touring series? Maybe they determined they donโ€™t need any to have a successful season. Certainly saves them $$$$$$. Did you read the schedule? What does it say? Where did you get your alleged engineering degree from? Walmart U? Speaking of cute, you are precious.

  22. Punk I believe I wrote โ€œyou despise the man as much as most of us doโ€. Us means me as well. Your ability to comprehend astounds me.

Punk again I ask you, where are the trailers? You made the reference so please do us all a favor and let us know where they are? Please substantiate your statement with facts. Or are you just throwing ๐Ÿ’ฉ at the wall to see if it will stick? Wait that reminds me of a famous line from a Clint Eastwood movie, โ€œgo ahead Punk, make my dayโ€.

  23. Well, I’m not seeing any Tour Type mods. RoC, TTOMS, NWMT, MRS, …

    Where are they?

  24. JD, don’t worry, Covid is still out there getting more infections by the hour, people are still dying at incredible rates.
As far as the speedbowl, quite an ambitious schedule, new-ish management. Should be interesting
. Earl, the only touring series are the NEMA midgets, and G.S.P.S.S. maybe a modified touring series will jump in, it’s still early.
Punk, it’s hateful people like you that make this world the way it is now. So much hatred and division. Chill out dude, Bemers been sentenced on rock solid charges, once he loses his appeal, he’ll have to serve his time, and repay his debt to society. As racers all we can do is hope and pray that eventually he does sell the place, and that the buyer is a die-hard racer, who will lead the track back to glory.

  25. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฆ„2020 says

Dafella pretending like he’s interested in the speedbowl schedule. So cute from such a special guy. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคก๐Ÿคก

  26. Dareal, Racing does NOT have to revolve around any touring series. Sometimes just good old fashion local racing is just fine. You are a VERY shallow person if you rely only upon TOURING series. Pleeease

  27. I count 19 SK events at the Bowl – with 4 “off” nights for the SKs (6/19, 8/14, 9/4 and 9/25). The Bowl won’t run at all on 10/9 (conflict with Thompson’s World Series). It will be interesting to see if the “SK Fast 5” events draw more SKs from Stafford and/or Thompson. Now, let’s see if it all takes place …

  28. ๐ŸŒˆJD๐ŸŒˆ, anybody can make a schedule. Heck, the ๐Ÿšฝ made schedules way back when there was NO #TrumpPandemic, and the track sit silent. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜

Hope is not a plan, or a schedule.

Now given how time is running out for Bemer, his mounting legal woes, and the #TrumpPandemic, it will be interesting to see how much if any of the schedule happens. For you, that will be dreams versus reality. ๐Ÿ˜ด

  29. Ken L, racing does indeed revolve around touring series. duh. ๐Ÿ˜’ There’s a reason why touring series are big draws. SK racing is very good, the Pro-4 are very entertaining and quite competitive, but the touring series are the headline for good ๐Ÿ˜Œ reason.

    ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿคจ

  30. Dareal, I guess you will have to include the Stafford, Thompson, WMT, TTOMS etc., etc. etc. schedules into your statement of how much if any of the schedules happen. I believe they are all providing the same form of entertainment as the Speedbowl that will ultimately be decided by COVID-19 and the regulations set forth by the States where the tracks are domiciled in.

    So precious you are.

  31. Oh Earl, I expect that when COVID restricts happen, they will apply to all venues.

  32. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฆ„2020 says

No comment from the ๐Ÿคก Dafella when any other track schedules their season during the China pandemic.

  33. You were specifically singling out Waterford, read your first paragraph responding to JD then it continued from there.

    Precious so precious ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

  34. masks optional says

Don’t count tour “type” modifieds out, word is there will be a tour type race or two, maybe just not sanctioned by any particular tour. Also word is possibly additional prostock races. Looking to be a great, and exciting season.

  35. Earl, this thread is titled, “New London-Waterford Speedbowl releases 2021 Schedule”, hence the subject of this thread is the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, and therefore that is why I stayed on the topic of the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

I was staying focused on topic, which is New London-Waterford Speedbowl. You brought up all the other tracks and then went off topic. The title of the thread is “New London-Waterford Speedbowl Releases 2021 Schedule”.

  36. Fans came out with only a few weeks notice in a pandemic with no beer and having to wear masks in the stands. This is lightyears ahead of that.
The owner notwithstanding the Speedbowl is not just a racetrack it’s a multi generational tradition. It’s success not just big events but loads of divisions on two day a racing a week.
They do have big events scheduled including the SK’s. They do just fine at the Stafford SK5K special event. There is likely to be a tour mod or tour mods event(s) there as well.
” As always you never know what else may be added as we get closer to the start of the 2021 season.”
Come on man it’s a schedule. Dead of winter. This time last year there was less then nothing.
Patience grasshoppers, this is going grrrrrrrrr……eattttttt.

  37. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿฆ„2020 says

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Now Dafella is going to preach about staying on topic of the title. So special, so cute.

  38. Dareal never ever goes off track when posting. Just ask him. Precious so precious ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

  39. It all depends on the coronavirus COVID-19 ๐Ÿ˜ท ๐Ÿฆ .

All you big macho men are at the mercy of a little itty bitty teeny weeny virus ๐Ÿฆ .

Racing is at risk because of the coronavirus COVID-19 .

  40. Viva Race Fan says

He will never be going to jail. That’s your wish but as most don’t know the whole story. See you at the bowl. And. Im glad there is no big series coming with who knows what pandemic will bring. Why put your ass online for a major payout with No return with out a crowd. We should just be glad the track is open for business.

  41. When will you guys be doing the trailer races?
