This year Thompson Speedway will host its traditional Icebreaker weekend April 10-11. The event will feature a 125-lap Tour Type Open Modified event paying $10,000 to win. NASCAR has also scheduled a Whelen Modified Tour event at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Va. on Thursday April 8. Depends on weather and the COVID-19 status. Those two conditions will determine my plans.
Going to Martinsville. We had cup tickets from last year. The Modified tour being there the same weekend is a bonus. Of course this all depends on VA not being on CT’s travel ban list. My employer won’t let me go if it is.
I wont be there nor will anyone else be there, Ct will shut it down no doubt.

Although Martinsville is on my “bucket list” tentative reality applies for me. The tentative part being COVID and weather. Thompson is the 2nd closest track to me. If they’re running a Modified show, I’m there!

I thought you posted on a thread last March or April that you were not leaving your house until 30 days after the last COVID death. If that is the case, you are not going to any races for a long time. Or are you not a man of your words?
Was thinking of going to the ice breaker but it really depends on covid around that time. I’m leaning more towards not going right now.
