   Starting every car is a race promoter, myopic, bonehead move.
   Monday night. Everyone shaking off the ice from a long, horrible winter and filled with adrenaline. Wrecks likely to ensue collecting not so great cars, inexperienced drivers and potential winners. Then a ton of teams end up thrashing all night to get the cars ready for Tuesday, they may not be right and the carnage starts again until the field gets reduced via DNF’s with hundreds of thousands of dollars of wrecked equipment in trailers traveling north.
   This isn’t a one and done event. You don’t qualify on a given night you get a redo the next night. Plus you’re waiting not in a horrible environment you’re in Florida watching terrific races instead of working all night. Then later in the week start all the cars.
   It’s not too late to rethink that.

   Not one word about the China pandemic anywhere on the New Smyrna website. Hey Dafella, since the restaurants and everything are closed wherever you live, maybe you could head on down to the track and get yourself a nice meal.

   🌈🦄2020, you think track food is a nice meal? That is so revealing.

   I just made smoked pulled pork. Put it in the Big Green Egg late last night, smoked low and slow for 10 hours, then wrapped and finished in the oven for a couple hours. Incredibly tender, juicy and tasty.

   😋 🤤

   My kitchen is better than many restaurants, and far better than any track food. How you survive on Ramen is fascinating.

   Dafella, how you haven’t been going on and on about the China pandemic the last few weeks is fascinating. What’s changed? I can’t place my finger on it. What’s the matter, lost interest in demanding we wear 2 masks instead of one? And yeah, some of the food at the speedbowl last year was very good. The clubhouse at Thompson is pretty decent too.

   Clearly you do not understand the situation. Follow the NHL? Games are being postponed left and right. Many of the Kansas City Chiefs were exposed to an infected barber a few days ago. Get it? You don’t and there is no point explaining it to you.

   I don’t recall demanding the wearing of 2 masks 😷, although since the TrumpFlu is getting worse and is about to get severely worse, double masking has become a topic. But then, only the people that have been wearing masks will consider double masking, the idiots that have refused to wear a mask will continue to not wear even a single mask. As I write this, I’m listening to NPR and reading some news about how the South African, South American and UK variants of the TrumpFlu, which are all here in the USA, will blossom and peak in the next several months, and things are likely to be far worse than we have seen so far. The recovery from that will last many, many more months. That puts us easily into the Fall of 2021, well into the Winter of 2021 and into 2022.

   Plan all you want.

    With regard to the pandemic I’m livid, have contacted the source of my upset and and using this forum to continue to vent and apologize in advance for doing so.
    First the pandemic modeling predicts some states will get worse in March into April. Connecticut, Mass and NY are not among them except in a worse case scenario that so far has not happened. Florida is.

    This morning while getting a couple special bolts for one of the creations of my friend WeldingWonders I happened to listen to Pastor Will Marotti on WTIC AM, Hartford, CT.
    I paraphrase what I heard.
    “You can’t convince people that wear masks that they don’t work. If they give them a level of comfort what’s the harm. It’s been proven that masks do little or no good with regard to the spread of Covid19.”
    The insanity continues.
    Yesterday our infection rate declined to 3.14, the lowest since well before the holidays. We’ve managed hospital confinements even during the height of this dark winter. And yet a prominent voice on the most powerful AM radio station in Connecticut says masks had nothing to do with it.
    I don’t know if Pastor Will Marotti believes what he says since he has a tendency to pander to his audience. I get that talk radio is about making money and supporting the right wing agenda.
    This is public health however and reckless.

    I just miss Dafellas daily to weekly rant-update on the China pandemic. Just wondering why they have ended.
