STAFFORD – Nobody can say they didn’t try.
After late afternoon storms, Stafford Speedway crews got the track dried and ready for practice in preparation for features Friday night.
And just after the conclusion of practice the torrential downpours began forcing Stafford officials to make the decision to pull the plug on the Friday racing card.
It was the second consecutive week that weather forced a cancellation of the Friday racing card at Stafford.
Well they called it last week when it didn’t rain a drop or was it a passing shower. This week 100% chance of severe storms but must have had a window of opportunity.
