STAFFORD – Sixteen year old Connor Jencik led from start-to-finish to win the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature.

It was the first career feature win for the Canton driver.

“It’s phenomenal,” Jencik said. “We’ve had a monkey on our back since the very beginning with this car. Starting the first two races, I couldn’t even get a lap in. I couldn’t get a heat race in. Five races in we finally got a win. It’s amazing. Last year we couldn’t get really anything done with the car we had. This car is fast.”

Jencik was the sixth different winner in six Limited Late Model events this year.

Gary Patnode of New Hartford was second and Matt Clement of Wethersfield third.

Jason Lafayette of Somers won the 14-lap Street Stock feature. The race was stopped short of its scheduled 20-lap distance due to rain.

Travis Downey of Barkhamstead was second and Tyler Trott of East Hartford third.

The racing card was cut short due to rain after five laps of the Casella Waste Open Modified 80 following the Limited Late Model feature.
