The Honey Badger is back. Well, for this week that is, with cash and prizes no less.
Really, how do you not bring the Honey Badger out of retirement briefly after a weekend performance so impressive it had the masses rolling to Facebook to get a better view of the carnage?
And its hard not to bring the Honey Badger back when a wonderfully gracious anonymous soul in the racing community wants to put up a special $100 prize for this week’s winner.
And thanks to our Honey Badger Special Edition Award winner, local racer Glen Thomas Jr., it was like a bad highway wreck on Sunday evening on Facebook and everybody was slowing to take a look.
It’s best to use the words of one Ron Burgundy to describe just what happened when Thomas posted one special meme he created Sunday night: “Boy, that escalated quickly… I mean, that really got out of hand fast.”
Thanks to Randall and his glorious YouTube classic, we all know this, “Honey Badger don’t care.”
According to Randall: “The honey badger has been referred to by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most fearless animal in all of the animal kingdom.”

So we know: “Honey Badger don’t care, it just takes what he wants. He has no regard for any other animal whatsoever.”
And Thomas showed Sunday night that fearless is his middle name (we don’t really know his middle name so we’re just giving him that one for now).
Thomas’ special meme surrounding some disqualification news at the Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday created an epic emotional rollercoaster of laughs, tears, fights, hugs.
It had it all. Popcorn bowls across Connecticut were emptied in anticipation as the comments rolled on. Three hours and 160 plus highly entertaining additional comments and pictures later, it was over.
We laughed, we cried, we ate popcorn.
