Stafford Motor Speedway Postpones July 4 Racing Program; SK 5K To Be Run July 25

SK 5K Logo StaffordOne of the most anticipated racing events on the local racing calendar for 2014 will have to be anticipated for a little while longer.

With forecasts calling for rain and effects from Hurricane Arthur, Stafford Motor Speedway officials made the decision Thursday to call off their Friday racing card.

The inaugural NAPA Auto Parts SK 5K event will now be run on July 25.

The NAPA Auto Parts SK 5K will feature a purse of more than $27,000, including a winner’s share of $5,000.

Fan voting to decide factors in the event will continue through to the new race day on the Stafford Motor Speedway website.
