It was a weekend on the local racing season punctuated by new beginnings and ending relationships.
The long awaited opening of the New London Waterford Speedbowl took place Saturday night with much fanfare.
Saturday also saw the end of the line for Tommy Barrett Jr. with the Our Motorsports NASCSAR Whelen Modified Tour team.

Thanks Shawn for the info. Only thing missing is the lap times but I guess we can’t have everything. . Hopefully the New London – Waterford Speedbowl website will at some point be as user friendly and informative as the old Speedbowl.com website
